A two-time James Beard nominee for Best Chef in New York, Chef Alex Lee brings a dynamic and innovative energy to Alpine. He is the only Chef in the United States to receive a New York Times Four Star rating then successfully transition and lead the culinary operation at a Prestigious Country Club. Alex is an incredibly talented Chef known for professional leadership, a passion for the highest quality food and pleasing his audience.

A walk through Chef Lee's experience and credentials illustrates his broad skill set and highlights culinary accolades that span several decades. In his most recent position, Alex served as Culinary Director for the Starr Restaurant Group, opening Le CouCou, the James Beard award winner for Best Restaurant 2016 and Upland Miami to name a few. Prior to the Starr Group, Alex was the Executive Chef of the Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury, New York. At Glen Oaks, he elevated the food and beverage culture of the club by sourcing the highest quality ingredients and delivering simply great food. Chef Lee's creativity catapulted the reputation of the Glen Oaks Club and his influence is seen at many top-level clubs in the country. As the Executive Chef at Daniel in New York City, the restaurant gained international recognition and achieved a perennial New York Times Four Star rating.
