Course Tour

One of the best starting holes in the state! Players must favor the right side as the fairway kicks severely from right to left. Long hitters need to be aware of hazard that starts left of the fairway at about 240 yards off the tee. The second shot plays uphill to an elevated green that most players will be hitting a hybrid or fairway wood into.

A short par 4 with plenty of trouble as there are water hazards to right of the tee, as well as short of and to the left of the green. Players should aim at the long fairway bunker off the tee and leave a short iron to the green. Beware of going for left hole location as water lurks close by for any shot left.

The start of three challenging par 4’s remaining on the outgoing nine. A tee shot must be played short of the pond 260-yards from blue tees. The green has a false front as any shots not reaching at least 10 yards on the green will roll off.

Blind uphill tee shot needs to be right center of the fairway. Second shot will be a mid-iron to another green with a false front. Hole plays most difficult with a front pin where players would be wise to play short.

A nice short par 3 that is a good chance for an early birdie. The green slopes left to right and players missing the green on the left side will find it difficult saving par. Usually plays about 5 to 7 yards uphill. This hole yields the most hole-in-ones on the course annually.

Strongest hole on the front nine plays uphill. Tee shot needs to be left center as the fairway slopes left to right. Second shot plays uphill to a two level green with a large “Tillinghast” bunker short and to the right. Shorter hitters will do well laying up for a wedge shot to try and save par.

The hardest par 5 on the course has a beautiful skyline view of western Bergen County. Players must avoid out of bounds and fairway bunker on right. Second shot should favor right center of fairway and will get a good bounce down the fairway. Third shot appears downhill, but will play the yardage; be sure to avoid bunkers short of the green as they are tough

The second shortest par 3 on the course plays slightly uphill. The green slopes left to right. Any tee shot landing short will not roll up due to a false front.

Shortest par 5 on the course is probably the best chance for a birdie. Tee shot should favor right center of the fairway. Long hitters can reach in two shots, but beware of bunkers short left and short right that can be diabolical.
